The Importance of PM Service Before the Cold Winter Months

As we move into the cold winter months it is important to schedule a periodic maintenance on your propane forklifts. Two of the most common forklift problems in the winter are:
1- Out of Spec Coolant- If your anti-freeze is old or diluted it can cause major damage to the engine block if the water freezes. Your coolant should test between -10 & -30 degrees.
2- Not being able to start your lift in cold weather because of "Hard Start" issues. This is a common problem when lifts need a tune-up.
These issues will be identified during a periodic maintenance and can be corrected before you have a major breakdown. As my cousin Murphy often says, "Things that can go wrong often do at the worst time." Don't let that happen to you, call to schedule your maintenance today!
